Claims Fourteen 'Favorites' In Southern Living Survey

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/
-- Disney World ranks high with Southern Living
readers. This ever-expanding vacation spot in Lake
Buena Vista, Fla., was chosen in the magazine's fifth
annual Readers' Choice Awards as one of the top
resorts, top family destinations and top theme parks.
And Disney Cruise Line claimed one of the top spots
for cruises.
By mail and by fax, thousands of
Southerners nominated their ``favorites'' in 22
categories -- from their favorite scenic drives to
their favorite family destinations.
More than 25,000 entries were
received in this year's awards contest. Every person
who sent in a ballot was automatically entered in a
drawing for a vacation for two to one of the 2000
Readers' Choice Awards destinations. Carol Kaiser of
Silver Springs, Md., won the 2000 drawing.
The top five winning destinations in
each category of the Readers' Choice Awards are
featured in the November issue of Southern Living.
Florida sites claimed fourteen of the top spots.

The November issue of Southern
Living, available at newsstands now, contains the
entry ballot for the 2001 Readers' Choice Awards. Send
your entry form in before July 1, 2001, to be entered
in next year's drawing.
