 April 24, 2002 - ARE YOUR TAXES TOO LOW? - You may be tired of thinking about and paying taxes after April 15th, but many in Washington think you’re not paying enough. In fact, the preposterous idea that Americans are undertaxed is accepted as truth by a significant number of the members of Congress. These members believe today’s taxpayers are perpetrating an injustice by not paying more taxes, and that most of the money you make presumptively belongs to the government. Since your money really belongs to the government, tax cuts represent a government "giveaway..."

April 28, 2002 - Term Limits Serve A Purpose - South Florida Sun-Sentinel Editorial Board, April 28, 2002, Supporters of a term limit for county commissioners marked an important milestone this week: They just collected more than the 45,969 voter signatures needed on petitions supporting a county charter amendment to limit commissioners to two consecutive four-year terms. Sponsors of the campaign, led by the father-son team of George and Philip Blumel, are running a low-budget grassroots effort with only a few dozen volunteers.
