sellers of violent video games would face stiff
penalties for marketing their products to children,
under legislation introduced Thursday by Sens. Joseph
Lieberman, D-Conn., and Herb Kohl, D-Wis. Lieberman
and Kohl — who have, for years, criticized the
violent themes prevalent in video games, movies and
popular music — Thursday took their focus on the
issue a step further, introducing a bill aimed at
curbing the sale of violent products to minors...

Marshalls, and FBI
for over two years after vanishing while on probation
for his 1989 conviction for computer and access device
fraud. His downfall was his Christmas 1994 break-in to
Tsutomu
Shimomura's computers in San Diego, California.
Less than two months later, Tsutomu had tracked him
down after a cross-country electronic pursuit. Mitnick
was arrested by the FBI in Raleigh, North Carolina, on
February 15th, 1995...

training its legal guns on the Gnutella file-sharing
system in its latest efforts to combat piracy. The
Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has sent

providers and universities, warning them that some
people on their networks are violating the Digital
Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) by trading copyrighted
movies through Gnutella...
