The Freedom Forum A Letter The DN Didn't Print !From: A Fact of our Life ! CommentsHere's proof of the bias.. best wishes DEAR DAILY NEWS: This gentleman sent a letter to the Editor to you last week (WED.) he told me.. He has since sent me a copy and, thus, informed me of said letter. Why has the Daily News not put this into your 'Editorial page'? Mr. Quinliven, whom I have never met, but over the phone said he has also sent another email to your paper. A reply has not shown up. Without further words, here is what he sent me. His phone is 689-8624. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Having been an employee of the Supervisor of Elections Office I want to provide information that is pertinent to the upcoming First Primary Elections on Tuesday, September 5, 2000. While working in the Supervisor of Elections Ft. Walton Beach Office I had occasion to observe bias with regard to both office employees and candidates of the various offices up for reelection/election. Pat Hollarn has held the elected position of Supervisor of Elections since 1988. There are managerial problems within the office and include her Chief Deputy. These problems have been ongoing for as long as she has been Supervisor of Elections. There have been constant employee turnover/retention problems in both the Crestview and Ft. Walton Beach Offices during Pat's tenure, she talks neutrality, yet walks bias politics. She is a tyrant within the confines of her office. I want the voting public to be aware of the mismanagement that has occurred within her office and continues to this day. Stop by the County's Personnel Office in Crestview and ask to read the exit interviews of those employees who have either left of their own accord or were terminated. Surly or inept I would not call these former employees! There are double standards within her office for a select few while demeaning and disparaging comments are voiced to other employees. Until Pat is voted out of office the excessive turnover will continue wasting precious taxpayer dollars hiring and training new employees. The voting public needs to be made aware of the lack of leadership that is occurring within her office with emphasis towards electing a new Supervisor of Elections rather than continue to endure the gross mismanagement and harassment o! f the hard working employees within the Office of Supervisor of Elections. Public awareness is paramount for the voters exercising their constitutional right to vote. Pat has said that active voters of Okaloosa County are her boss. Vote your conscience on September 5th. Thank You, Mike Quinlivan Crestview ______ Last changed: March 04, 2008
