Dear Mr. Burkett, I just wanted to let you know that I will not be able to vote for you. The reason is that I do not appreciate the fact you have accepted money from Fred and Pat Tolbert (Ramada owners pushing for Conference Center), Stephen and William Abbott, 99 Eglin Ltd. (Jay Odom) and Cliff Cohen. I also believe that it is totally inappropriate for you to accept money from Waste Management Inc.

While your stand on the Conference Center seems reasonable, I must also note that the wife of your Deputy Campaign Treasurer, Paula Riggs, stated during her campaign that she supported a referendum on the issue, then once elected, first denied ever saying it, then backpedaled and said she changed her mind. Your association with Mr. and Mrs. Riggs brings the credibility of your statements into question.
