I am a Texas Resident paying almost double the taxes of a Florida resident but I am happy to pay whatever is due in order to have the privilege of being on "The Island" half of the year. I am a former realtor, retired for 15 years. I am familiar with the appetite of developers and sadly enough the greed that goes with the acute SUCCESS ~ CONQUEST disease of the breed. It is so very refreshing to find a place that once was enjoying a "word-of-mouth" natural growth for the people who came to the area. There was always enough business for the founders and always a growth that the compact area could handle. I don't get a vote...but I have a mouth and I will try to get my full time neighbors to VOTE for your cause. Thanks for all you are doing to try to stop the Convention Center.
