The Freedom Forum Election non choiceFrom: Tom Reese CommentsThink “What luck that men don’t think.” A quote by Mr. Hitler, that could have been said by any number of Democrats or Republicans. Both Presidential wanabees speak on programs that are not the federal governments responsibility, such as public schools, and social security. Both men speak in general terms, such as “save social security, do away with the capital gains tax, etc.” They never say any things they can be challenged on. Notice how the candidates are promising money or some program that cost big money? H.L.Mencken said, “Every election is an advance auction of stolen goods.” Tom’s law states “If the government funds it, the government runs it.” The Presidents job is outlined in Article 2 section two and three, which takes up less space than one page of a standard book. The President is forbidden from doing other than his listed tasks in article 2, by amendments 9 and 10. I feel we have more to lose than gain with the Dem. and Rep. Gemini. Their TV ads never say the word liberty, or freedom, responsibility, constitution etc. They would not debate any so called third party peers , probably because the other candidates may have uttered one of these words.
